146. Samhein 2025. For the Departed.

Samhain (pronounced Sah-wan) is an ancient Irish sacred celebration that occurred this past Friday. In America, it is called Halloween. See our previous post for more details. It is a time when the departed are able to move between realms and walk with us on this earth, offering an opportunity to connect. My partner and I burned candles - bringing light into the darkness and left offerings of favorite foods and drinks for my brother Jack, who passed last year, and for his grandmother, and brother, who also passed last year, and for his mother and sister, who passed recently.

We wanted to honor and spend time with our family members, and in ceremony, we spoke with them. You might notice the orbs of light over the left candle and at the bottom of the photo. These indicate that our loved ones were present.

We embraced the support of our Goddess Hugs tincture, as well as our Blue Aster and Black Cohosh Flower Essences during our ceremony. They happened to be on the counter, so I could restock our supply in the shop. After affirming their energetic properties, I realized they were there due to divine intervention. They were perfect.
