The effectiveness of CBD depends on the quality—and how you use it. Here are some common missteps to avoid.
1. Giving up too soon.
Some people feel the effects the first time. For some, it can take a few days or even a week. Let the level of CBD build up in your body with consistent use.
2. Not taking enough or taking too much CBD.
Many brands create confusion around the amount of CBD in each dose—often emphasizing the total milligrams of all of the cannabinoids, not just the CBD.
If the CBD is less concentrated you have to take a larger volume - usually, droppers full, which you then swallow. When swallowed, stomach acid can destroy up to 90% of the CBD.
Spiral Herbal Remedies' CBD is concentrated, so you can take a small dose which translates to a small volume. 3-4 drops are the recommended starting dose. This tiny volume stays under your tongue allowing it all to be absorbed directly into your blood. This way it can start to work immediately. When I worked as a Registered Nurse, if someone was having a heart attack, I would put medicine under their tongue for this reason.
3. Taking the CBD incorrectly.
The best way to take CBD is under your tongue. The longer it sits under your tongue, the more is absorbed. (But remember it has to be concentrated and a low volume for it all to stay under your tongue.)

a. What's in the CBD oil?
The best products have simple ingredients. Ours contains Organic Olive Oil, Peppermint, and CBD.
b. Has it been tested?

c. How was it extracted?
Some methods use toxic solvents like Butane, Hexane, or Acetone because it’s low-cost. Ours is extracted with CO2. It’s more expensive but it leaves no toxic residue.
c. Is there THC?
For a while, everyone was saying you had to have THC for the CBD to work. That is categorically incorrect. THC only enhances the effects of CBD when using high doses (200+mg).
There is no THC in our CBD. You can drive a car, go to work, pass urine tests and not feel high or groggy.
d. How’s the taste?
You won’t take it if it doesn’t taste good. Ours tastes like Olive Oil and Peppermint because that's all that's in it. It does not taste like old bong water, as other brands have been described.
